Additional Backup Information:

Approval of this interlocal agreement with Tucson, Arizona will allow the City of Austin and the City of Tucson to participate in the purchase of various types of goods and services through the use of contracts already in place through each jurisdiction’s procurement processes.

 

The ability to share competitive contracts between jurisdictions assists each to accomplish acquisitions more efficiently.

 

City of Austin purchases exceeding the City Manager’s authority (currently $74,000 for Fiscal Year 2023-2024) will be brought forward for Council approval on a case-by-case basis prior to ordering the products or services.

 

This agreement is entered into under the provisions of the Interlocal Cooperation Act, Chapter 791, Texas

Government Code.
