Authorize negotiation and execution of Amendment No. 3 to the agreement with Out Youth to provide mental health services for Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual+ individuals, to add two 12-month extension options beginning on April 1, 2023, each in an amount not to exceed $100,000, for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $500,000.

Fiscal Note
Funding in the amount of $100,000 is included in the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Austin Public Health Department Operating Budget. Funding for the remaining terms is contingent upon available funding in future budgets.

March 26, 2020 - Council approved the negotiation and execution of an agreement with Out Youth, on an 11-0 vote.

Approval of this item will authorize negotiation and execution of an amendment to the agreement with Out Youth to provide mental health services to Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual+ youth in Austin. Out Youth will provide services and programs that have demonstrated a positive impact on the provision of qualified counseling services and support groups for middle school and high school Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual+ youth. It will also provide culturally responsive interaction and support-training to counselors and school staff members.
